Route Details

Routes include:

1 Mile Walk-Ride-Play:

For those not able to ride the streets of DeRIdder, we have a vehicle-free option with activity stations for young and old. Start behind our building with our activity guide and the walking path will take you through West Park, stopping at the gazebo to make veteran appreciation cards, a sticker/tattoo stop, flag planting at the park's southeast corner, and lamppost enlightening throughout.

7 Mile Family Ride:

The 7-mile route will take you past two elementary, DeRidder Junior High, and the High School with a stop at the fire department along the way. This is an easy ride for beginners and families. Children under 13 must ride with an adult.

25 Mile Intermediate Route:

Our 25-mile route is geared for the more experienced cyclist who wants a longer scenic ride. This route is a mixture of city neighborhoods, rural roads, and highways. A support vehicle will stay behind the last riders at all times. There will be one rest stop with restrooms and another rest stop with snacks and refreshments. Keep your eye out for the longleaf pine and it's stobby branches (resembling pompoms) and 6-10" pine cones!

50 Mile Advanced Route:

The 50-mile route is for the experienced road cyclist who feels confident on the highways but also wants to experience the beauty of rural Louisiana. This route is mostly highway miles with back road loops that will take you through rural farmland and timberland. Rest stops will be available at about 15- and 30-mile points with restrooms available. A final rest stop will help you get the fuel you need for the final leg of the ride. This ride offers a deeper look into the scenic beauty found in "No Man's Land".

Ride Details - November 2, 2024

Our charity bike ride will start and end at the Kingdom Center in DeRidder, LA and includes 4 different routes to fit everyone's preference but each highlights the beauty you might otherwise miss while in the heart of "No Man's Land".

The day of the event we ask that everyone arrive early enough for late registration, check-in, ask questions, listen to important route information, access restrooms, etc.

Riders should be ready to roll at 8:30 AM. We launch the 50 milers first, then the 25 milers, then the 7 milers, and finally the walkers. There will be rest stops along each route.

Safety is paramount for every bicycle rider. You must wear a properly fitting helmet. Please have your tires properly inflated; check your chain, brakes, and shifters. High-visibility vests, bright-colored shirts, and blinking lights are recommended. Please use sunscreen and bring your own water bottle for endless refills!

Youth under the age of 13 must ride with an adult.

Additional Information:

Each early registration entry includes a t-shirt and SWAG bag (additional shirts can be purchased). There will also be a random drawing for door prizes.

Riders are invited to stay for a Louisiana comfort meal following the ride (one meal per registration, additional meals can be purchased).

Restrooms and changing rooms will be available.

Want to be a sponsor?

Local businesses are encouraged to support our mission through sponsorship. Several levels are available with increasing business recognition opportunities. Please click here to open the sponsorship form.

If you would like to sponsor a youth rider, complete a registration form, submit payment and indicate "let a Kingdom Center teen ride for me." This personal sponsorship allows our youth to experience the fun of cycling fitness and reap the rewards of healthy exercise along with the pride of wearing their own PTET t-shirt.

Fundraising

Please consider increasing your donation to Kingdom Center with a Double Down Donation Challenge. Ask friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to help double your registration with a donation. That could be 7 people who make a $5 donation or those same people matching your registration with a $35 donation. You don't have to stop with double down but it's a great place to start!
